<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>We studied the effect of stevia leaf extract, saccharinate and cyclamate in various dosages on the glycogen content of blood leukocytes in mice, as a necessary substrate for the realization of phagocytosis. An increase of glycogen content was found in all experimental groups which obtained sweeteners at a dosage of 10 mg/g of body weight. The effect of sweeteners on the differential leukocyte counts was found only for mice treated with stevia leaf extract at a dosage of 10 mg/g of body weight. They demonstrated increase of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio. New data expand our understanding of the metabolism of sugar substitutes in the organism and their effect on physiological systems, in particular the hematopoietic and immune systems.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>экстракт листьев стевии</kwd><kwd>сахаринат</kwd><kwd>цикламат</kwd><kwd>гликоген</kwd><kwd>лейкоциты</kwd><kwd>мыши С57BL/6</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>stevia leaf extract</kwd><kwd>saccharinate</kwd><kwd>cyclamate</kwd><kwd>glycogen</kwd><kwd>leukocytes</kwd><kwd>C57BL/6 mice</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена за счет средств федерального бюджета на выполнение государственного задания КарНЦ РАН (FMEN-2022-0003)</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was supported by state order [FMEN-2022-0003] of Karelian Research Centre RAS (Institute of Biology)</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ramesh B., Pugalendi K.V.
